currently i am pushing thru for 2 reasons: 1) i have coffee and genuinely enjoy my job, and 2) today i find out what my testosterone blood test results are, and i get to find out if my dose is gonna increase.
i’m on my second coffee of the day which is unheard for me, and i’m trying to choke down water and food to get my body goin but oh lord it’s difficult.
if any white queer ppl wanna see this in action, the 1968 film “the queen” is a great documentary abt a drag pageant and has some excellent examples of subtle classism and racism among white gay drag queens.
white, wealthy gay ppl have always found time to distinguish themselves from poor bipoc queer ppl, and yes, that includes using homophobic slurs against other queer ppl they deemed “lesser”. this is true now and it has always been true.
anyway for anyone who’s interested; bull dyke and dyke were absolutely used by white lesbians to demean lower class or Black lesbians as aggressive/crude. that changed during the 70s with the advent of dyke separatism & queer civil rights movements, but it’s honestly not shocking that a random twitter kid got confused and thought the term dyke was exclusive to Black lesbians the way stud is.
my new dr ordered abt 18 tests for me, including a full STI panel…. which i would have been 100% cool with had she asked.
but considering i’ve been fully abstinent since my last STI panel, and only get tattooed by ppl with their blood contaminant license, i’m a little pissed i didn’t get warning before being asked to do a urine test, throat swab, and rectal swab.
but i guess being trans is enough of a risk factor on its own, in her mind.
